Ceramic coatings are awesome. They are many things, but they are not indestructible. While they are low maintenance, it is extremely important to keep ceratin things in mind while taking care of a ceramic coated vehicle. Here are some pointers:
1. DO NOT wash the car upto 4 days after initial pick up from the studio.
2. Hand wash only, every 2 weeks, under a shade. AVOID running your coated vehicle through automatic car washes with brushes. It will absolutely get scratched, and affect the longevity of the coating.
3. Dry your vehicle completely after every wash. While it is more difficult to cause long term hard water spot problems in a coated vehicle, it will happen with repetitive water left on the surface
4. DO NOT wax on top of the coating. If desired, used ceramic based sealants, or coating toppers.
5. To honor the warranty, it is required by most ceramic coating and paint protection film manufacturers that you bring your car to a certified installation center once a year for an annual inspection and decontamination.
